LOL, I was going to use this Forum to keep you guys updated on the progress of your northern friends, but I guess I am lacking in the updates.

So far this year due to my lack of finding work, we have had limited practice and only one race so far.

I have sold the youngest boys bikes as he was showing no interest in practicing and did not want to race this year. Hopefully in the near future he will show some interest again and we can get him a bike then.

I think that I have lost my third son to the dark side (girl Friend) as well. He missed the first race to spend the weekend with his GF at her cottage.

However; we picked up a 2002 YZ 250 that the third son just loves and wants to race this year, so my second son gets his old 125.

We did the first race this year and move up Josh, second son, from beginner to Junior. We did this for a couple of reasons.
1. He only had 2-4 people in his MX1 beginner class and that just sucks and does not teach him much.
2. I wanted to get him out of the same class as number 3 son as they spend more time battling each other instead of going for the next guy.
3. He is getting really fast and I do not ever want to be called a sand bagger!

He raced MX1 and MX2 Junior in Providence Bay Ontario, the results are not up yet and the scoring at the competition sucked big ones!!!!

He managed to qualify for the main in MX2 in his first heat so no LCQ for him, I was really happy with that. There were 16 gates and only 15 riders showed up for the main. I think he made around 13th or so, so that was good for his first race.

In MX1 there were 6-7 racers and in the morning he came in 5th or 6th. In the afternoon race he came in last, as he was really tired and this is in part due to the lack of practicing we have been able to do. Although, he was looking really good out there for all his heats/races, running really smooth and clean.

Overall, I am really happy with his progress, and hope he can get to top 5 by the end of the year. Things are looking up for me and work later this summer so we may come down south to do some of the CMRC Fox Fall Series. If we do, I will post up the race dates and who is going to show up from our family.

Have a good one folks and keep the rubber side down.

Great!

We get ZW cooled down regarding "that place" and you have to throw some gas on the fire.

I noticed the YZ has a different #. Not used to seeing one of the "guys" on blue.

Thanks for your update.

Hey Kyle...!!

Glad to hear that work is looking up and that you are still involved with the racing. ( sort of )
I went through the girl thing two years ago and sold everything. A year later he missed the racing so we bought a new bike that now is gathering dust. He only wants to race when it suits him....???
We are not pushing him and hope he gets interested again.
We have a CMRC, TVR and SCR membership this season so if you are coming down this way later in the summer let us know and maybe we can catch up with you and the boys somewhere.

Wader and Shawn

Actually that Yamaha is for sale right now. But number 3 son will race it until we sell it.

I have to get the proper numbers on it, as it currently has the numbers that came with the bike.

He needs red numbers on white backgrounds. He is actually pretty quick on that bike.

Wader, yeah, if we get down I will let you know for sure!

I will try to keep this updated with any more progress this year, but I am making no promises.

wow - what a blast from the past - I wondered what happened to our northern friends!
Hmmm - all the talk about girls is making me think you're all going to be buying diapers over dirtbikes very soon.
Good to hear from ya Kyle and good to hear SOME of the boys are still keeping it real!
Don't worry - those currently lost to the dark side will return...
